Hello Friends!

This is just a little welcome to my mind. As i'm sure you have noticed this website is primarily for my portfolio and to document all the fun things I've been working on. If you've made it to this page i'm assuming you have had time to check out some of my work. I've had a great time creating (almost) all of it. But this blog is going to be more than just a portfolio- it is a look inside my mind. I intend to post some of the weird or interesting questions I have scribbled in the margin of my sketchbooks, some really random thoughts that run through my mind, or really anything at all.

As I've mentioned before I am a student at Herron School of Art and Design, and I LOVE it here. Never before have I been so pushed to create things I care about and take the time to discuss my work with other people. I got into art because I was so exasperated at my inability to convey my intense emotions or thoughts to people in a way that made them understand how important it was to me. I love having the opportunity to communicate feelings through art and to make the viewer (hey that's you guys!) question what you think they know and provoke them to actually FEEL something. Art should be more than something beautiful to hang on walls- it should change you in extraordinary ways. So please go out and find something that makes you feel these things. Explore the world around you, and keep creating!
